Foxglove, Digitalis purpurea, is an upright plant growing to 150cm tall with deep green low level foliage and tall erect spikes laden with cup shaped flowers that hang downwards. The flowers are often spotted within or have a darker lip. This beautiful but poisonous plant is a short lived, frost-hardy perennial or biennial. Foxgloves are prolific self-seeders and prefer a sunny to partly shaded position.

Sow seeds where they are to be grown and barley cover. Water well and keep moist during germination. Seedlings emerge in 14-21 days. Thin to 25 cm plant spacing.

All our seed is open-pollinated and grown on our small and unruly plot in Central Victoria, Australia.
