Got something to discuss?
I have read citrus seeds lose their vitality after four weeks. With this in mind, can you please advise me if the seeds have been collected within this time frame. I am prepared to wait if the seeds are not available at present.
I read about that online before but have always manage to germinate citrus from seeds. I believe it is more important to select quality seeds and provide a conducive environment for germination to take place. For instance in a glasshouse where the temperature and humidity can be controlled to simulate that of a subtropical climate for Yuzu and Pomelo.
Thank you Ken. I have built a small controlled environment cabinet where I can control temp and humidity to a decimal place. Yesterday I placed a number of West Indian Lime seeds in the unit, some with husks and some not. Presently the temp is 35°C and the seeds in a plastic container between two layers of damp paper towel. Will see how it goes over the next few days. I feel the temp is too high, but will soon know!
How long does it take for seeds to germinate and then does it take normally to bear fruit and do you arrange delivery??
when will your yuzu seeds be available? thank you
