JC's Backyard

Cloncurry, Queensland, Australia

$3.50

Freshly harvested pack of 15+ seeds.

Pigeon Pea is a perennial legume commonly grown as a food crop in Asia. It grows in anto a bush with a lifespan of three to five years. As a legume they are nitrogen fixers and can assist improving the soil. They are tolerant of dry climates and do well in the arid as well as tropical climates.
I use the leaves and branches as a green manure adding them to my compost pile as well as around the base of my fruiting trees.

My pigeon pea seeds are grown organically, freshly picked and grown as along my fence line.

Last batch of seeds were harvested in September 2023.
