Australia has the longest lychee production season in the world producing fruit from late October to late March. Lychee growing regions in Australia stretches from tropical Far North Queensland to NSW South Coast (including Sydney).

Lychee is native to Southern China, grows to a height of 3-4 metres (but can be pruned down to 2 metres). They are a handsome, dense rounded tree that can produce luscious fruits in as little as 3-4 years. Lychee fruit is rich in vitamin C, having 72 mg per 100 grams – an amount representing 86% of the Daily required intake.
