An heirloom winter squash from Missouri in the USA. Creamy orange acorn shaped ridged fruit, growing to around 20cm long, grow on extremely productive vines. The flesh is light orange with a nutty, sweet flavour and a buttery texture. Suited to roasting, mashing and stuffing. Stores well.
Seeds of this heirloom variety were kept by family and neighbours for decades until they were reintroduced in 1988 with the help of seed savers. Also known as ‘Thelma Sanders Sweet Potato’.
