🌻 Velvet Queen Sunflower

  • Type: Ornamental sunflower
  • Botanical name: Helianthus annuus
  • Colour: Deep burgundy / mahogany red
  • Flowering: Summer
  • Position: Full sun
  • Spacing: Approx. 60–80 cm apart
  • Planting depth: About 3 cm (pointy end down)
  • Sowing time: Spring to early autumn
  • Care: Keep well watered, especially in hot weather. Liquid fertiliser weekly once established.

As with all open-pollinated sunflowers, some variation in colour and height may occur.
