Description
Shelling peas are popular vegetable garden plants harvested in the spring, when the weather is too cool for other produce to grow. Shelling peas have their tough, stringy pods removed before cooking.
– Sowing time – Autumn through to spring
– Sow direct or in seed trays and plant out- Best planted at soil temperatures between 8°C and 24°C
– Fine well-draining soil and full or partial sun position
– Keep the plants moist but not soaked
