Bushy delicate annual to 70cm, best in cool partial shade location with moist soil. Scatter seeds directly in prepared bed, cover lightly with soil. Deep purple/red leaves with green stems, that are a wonderful peppery salad vegetable. Really good as a pesto. Harvest often to prolong the production period. Can be sown all year round in cooler climates, but will quickly go to seed in warmer weather.

Will self seed easily.
