Spring Planting: Aim for spring (around March-May in the Southern Hemisphere) to maximize growth before cooler autumn nights.
Summer Planting: Early summer is also great, ensuring the plant gets established before winter sets in.
Planting Steps
Soak Seeds: Soak seeds in water for 1-2 days before planting to help with germination.
Prepare Soil: Use well-draining soil in a sunny spot.
Plant: Sow seeds about 1cm (1/4-1/2 inch) deep.
Water: Keep soil moist but not soggy.
Indoors/Pots: If you have cold winters, start in pots and move indoors or a garage to protect from frost.
By planting in spring or summer, your Moringa gets a strong start and can tolerate the cooler, dormant winter months better, often re-sprouting in spring.
