Hawaii is a tall African marigold, growing approximately 75–90 cm high, with strong stems and impressive blooms. The flowers are also excellent for cutting and make a bright, cheerful addition to vases.

Sowing in Australia – Direct Sow

• Sow Spring, early Summer and Autumn in warmer areas.
• Choose a sunny, well-drained position.
• Sow directly where they are to grow, approximately 5 mm deep.
• Water gently and keep the soil moist while germinating.
• Germination is usually around 4–10 days in suitable conditions.
• Thin seedlings as they grow to allow good airflow and room for plants to develop.
• Water regularly during dry weather but avoid waterlogged soil.
• Deadhead spent flowers to encourage continued flowering.
• Protect young seedlings from slugs and snails.
