A South African delicacy, enjoyed cooked (use very little water), roasted, as a puree or in pumpkin pies and soups.

The flat white boer pumpkin grows to various sizes between 4.5 to 12 kg and stores very well, even more so if left to mature on the vine (until the attached stem becomes dry).

Grown and harvested on a family farm in Central West NSW.
