Echium – Pride Of Madeira seeds

Echium candicans is a perennial shrub with spikes of deep blue flowers in spring. This fast-growing, grey-leaved plant is excellent for dry areas. It is rather short-lived but self-seeds easily or grow from cuttings. It makes a beautiful impressive eye-catching border plant in large areas, even when not in flower.

Plant in potting soil around 1/8-inch deep, and put a thin layer of sand over the top to anchor seeds. Mist lightly each day, maintain a consistent temperature of 20C to 25C throughout germination (up to two weeks).
