Blue ribbon bean originate from Mexico and their pods have stylish purplish streaks that make this popular with the kids. This is an excellent flat podded Romano type bush bean. Blue ribbon also makes an excellent dry bean. Details: Sow in Spring, water in well.  Depending on the bean variety, beans should be planted around10 cm apart and sown 25mm deep. Bush beans grow vertically up to a meter high and can produce large volumes of beans in relatively little garden space. They can be ideal for sunny courtyards and smaller gardens.
