Santalum spicatum – Australian Sandalwood, Dutjahn, Waang

These plants are grown from seeds sourced from traditional owners based south of Western Australia.
H – Up to 4M, W – 2M
Position – Full Sun or dappled shade
Tolerates – Drought, light frost, and sandy and saline soils
Flowering – Fragrant flowers from Autumn through Winter

Uses – Fruits are edible (bush food), Cultural burning, sandalwood oil (from heartwood)
Feeding – Feed every 3 months with controlled released fertiliser or organic fertilisers. Avoid high phosphorus-based fertilisers.
Additional Notes – Sandalwood is a hemiparasite (roots latch on other tree roots for nutrients), it requires a host such as an Acacia spp. Allcasuarina, Citrus trees, native lemon grass (if placed in pot) or shrubs will also work. Ideal distance between host and Sandalwood is 3M. Ensure the host does not out grow the Sandalwood until the tree is mature. In the absence of a host, the lifespan of the tree is reduced and growth is slow. Avoid water-logged areas for planting.

I’d like to purchase one Santalum Spicatum sapling and have it shipped to Darwin, Northern Territory. How much would the total shipping cost be? I’d also like to have more saplings. Do you have any more?
