Cosmos bipinnatus
Stunning bright pink, daisy-like flowers attract bees and other pollinators.
Can be direct sown outdoors in early Spring to Summer, or sown in punnets 4-6 weeks before the last frost. Seed should be sown 5mm deep and 30-45cm apart.
Seedlings emerge 14-21 days after sowing. Plants grow to 1.5-2m tall and 1m wide (depending on spacing and pruning for shape).
Grows to 1.5-2m tall and 1.5m wide. Plant at 30cm intervals for tall upright plants and lightly cover with soil.
It takes cosmos 7 weeks to first bloom, and then plants will continuously flower throughout Summer and Autumn. Deadheading encourages further flowering and branching.
