Dubbed “yummy leaves” by our children, our kids can often be founding scouting around the yard picking their own leaves to add to their lunchboxes.

Delicious. Nutritious. And beautiful.

Cranberry hibiscus / Hibiscus acetosella is a versatile and hardy shrub. This medium-sized sprawling shrub is quite stunning in full bloom with dark red foliage and bright red flowers, but it is also very versatile, with many culinary and medicinal uses. The leaves are edible raw or fried, and can also be steeped in hot water to make tea. Great for kitchen gardens, herbal gardens, permaculture type gardens or anything in between.

Sow in trays in hole 5mm deep.
Keep soil moist but not overwatered until seedling emerges.
Sow when established in bright sunny spot.

*Please note our plants grow up under their parent plants without any of the care recommended here.

Includes at least 15 seeds.
