The plant:
* Native Australian wildflower
* Mixed colour
* 0.50m – 2m tall
* Flowers spring – autumn but blooms can last year round
* Long lasting cut flower
* Suitable for dried flower arrangements

The seed:
* Tiny brown seeds collected from mature flower heads when they naturally are ready to disperse.
* Untreated.
* Dried naturally.
* Hand winnowed and separated from most chaff / fluff.
* High germination rate (in our experience)
* 3rd generation parent plants grown in Kingsville (inner west melbourne), Victoria. Colours include: pink, flame, red, burgundy, white, yellow, orange

Growing tips:
* Full sun to part shade
* Don’t seem fussy about soil
* Sew on top of soil. A light sprinkling of sand or gravel will help to keep them where you want them.
* Sew in autumn or spring.
* Water to help get established and then when they look thirsty or on hot days.
* Autumn sewing gives the plant the chance to establish a root system before the summer months. Growth will slow over winter and you will have your first flowers in Spring.
* Sew direct in place for hardier plants but can be grown in forestry tubes and transplanted once established.
* Can grow as tall as 2.5m if sunseeking! Cut back when small to keep them smaller and promote multiple flower stems.
* Deadheading through summer will encourage more flowers.
