Got something to discuss?
I am looking for seeds that are definitely from S. juncea x S.juncea and NOT from a small leaved or the paddle leaved form of S. reginae.- both sometimes marketed as S.reginae var parvifolia. While some variations S.juncea do have small terminal blades that tend to atrophy I prefer the type form that does not, on maturity, produce any terminal blade.Do you have pics of the parent plants, that you could show me, please?
Good morning I have just added a few photos of the parent plant growing in my garden. Thankyou for your interest.
Clearly, this plant is not S.reginae. Nor is it the “leafless” form of S. juncea. I take it that since you do not mention another parent plant, the seeds for sale are from this plant following manual self-pollination. Was it necessary to bag both the pollen donor and the recipient flowers? Thank you for your correspondence.
Hi Ian it is a very old plant as I’ve lived here 50 years No intervention and left to nature organically. Hope you find what you’re looking for. MM 4 Seeds
