The Purple Tiger Chilli is originally from the USA and has white and purple variegated leaves. Fruit start off green, and then turn purple and then red. This plant is a beautiful ornamental plant, as well as one that prolifically produces small fruit perfect for adding spice to a dish.

 

Sowing instructions:

Can be direct sown outdoors in spring, or sown in punnets in late winter.

Seed should be sown 5mm deep and 30cm apart. Keep soil moist.

Seed germinates best at temperatures above 21°C.

 

Plant information:

Seedlings emerge 14-21 days after sowing.

Plants grow to 50cm tall.

This chilli also makes an attractive plant in a pot.
