Climbing Beans- Lazy Housewife
An heirloom (early 1800’s) that is easy to harvest and was one of the first stringless beans. A climbing variety that is prolific, yielding delicious green beans over a long harvest period. Eat fresh or let mature on the plant to use as a dried white bean for a rich, creamy taste.
Details: Sow in Spring, water in well. Depending on the bean variety, beans should be planted around10 cm apart and sown 25mm deep. Climbing beans grow vertically and can produce large volumes of beans in relatively little garden space. They can be ideal for sunny courtyards and smaller gardens.
