Climbing Beans – Speckled Cranberry
This prolific variety produces beautiful, red-speckled beans and pods. The beans were brought to America from England in the 1820s. The young 10cm pods can be used as a snap bean, or then a shell bean, or a dry bean if grown to full maturity. When cooked, they have a creamy texture and nutty flavor.
