This green Mukunuwenna is a perennial plant that belongs to the Amaranth family. This plant looks like Alligator weed but is not the same plant. Prefers moist compost rich soil and grows well in partial shade. Easy to grow. A popular medicinal herb/leafy vegetable in Asia, Mukunuwenna leaves are rich in iron, Vitamin A and dietary fibre. Can be used raw in salads as or cooked in stir fries, curries and soups. You can also add to juices. Many countries such as India and Sri Lanka have their own recipes of how to cook this vegetable.
Organically grown using only cow manure. Sold as bare rooted plants. 5 plants in one pack. Dip in water for few minutes once you receive them and then plant in moisture rich soil. Water regularly until plants establish. Can be grown through out the year. Growth would be slow during winter.
Mukunuwenna is a hardy plant. Will withstand ordinary post and does not need to pay for express post.
