5 RAMBUTAN seeds

Rambutan is native to Southeast Asia and is closely related to lychee and longan. It has been successfully grown in northern NSW, Queensland and Northern Territories and Western Australia by Asian migrants.

The fruit is about double the size of Longan or medium sized Lychee. It is even bigger than the Giant or Emperor Lychee (https://www.localseeds.com.au/dashboard/products/?product_id=3729&action=edit)

A perennial, it produces sweet juicy delicious fruits once or twice a year and is currently retailed at nearly $35/ kg (about 12-15 fruits) in Asian fruit shops and markets. Each fruit usually has 1 or none (very small) seed. The fruits are hot in demand and are usually sold out within a few days.

Its bright dark red or yellow outer skin makes it a natural choice for decorating a fruit platter.
