Pinto beans (Phaseolus vulgaris) produce seeds only suitable for dry use. The light tan, speckled seeds provide a good all-purpose bean for soups, burritos and other bean-based dishes. Pinto beans require about 90 days from planting to produce dried beans.

Hello, how long have you been growing pinto beans? Are they an old fashioned variety? Where did you get them? Very interested… I’m curious about your chickpea variety too. Are they an heirloom variety? Jacqui 🙂
