Oregano seeds

Seaford Seeds Vic

Bunurong Country, Seaford, Victoria, Australia

$3.00

Oregano herb – excellent for italian and greek dishes, the fresh leaf has a strong and tasty flavour, or can be dried.

Oregano seeds are very fine and light. A shadier position will allow larger leaves to grow, but prefers a sunny position. Because oregano seeds are so small, you will get a good proportion of leaf and flower litter with it, so spread a good pinch into a pot and see what comes up!

Approx 50 seeds per packet.
All seeds have been grown locally in Seaford, Victoria under organic and bio-dynamic principles, hand threshed and dried.

Seaford is a cool climate area, coastal, with prevailing winds from the south west. My oregano seeds are usually grown in pots in the greenhouse from around September and planted out once the weather warms up the soil. Harvest usually starts around October and continues through the year. Oregano is a clumping plant, so in a year or two you can take the plant out of the pot and break it into smaller clumps to repot. The gift that keeps on giving!
