Calendula are a great place to start your medicinal garden! This seed variety produces large, striking crested blooms in deep orange-gold coloured with contrasting dark centres.
These beauties are so versitile and will add colour to your garden when still waiting for other spring flowers. They are great to be picked and dried for medicinal purposes, drank in tea, tossed in salad or popped in a vase.
Sow 15mm deep in moist seed raising mix in spring and autumn. 30cm apart. Germination takes 7-21days. 60-70 days till maturity. Deadhead to prolong flowering. Hardy plant, 60cm high.
Adaptable to most soils and conditions providing it is in a sunny position.
