Sowing instructions:

Soak seeds in warm water overnight.

Can be direct sown outdoors in Spring to early Summer, or sown in punnets.

Seed should be sown 5mm deep and 50cm apart. Keep soil moist.

Seed germinates best at temperatures above 23°C.

Plant information:

Seedlings emerge 12-14 days after sowing.

Plants grow up to 2m tall and 50cm wide (depending on plant spacing and pruning).

Plants grow to 1.8m tall and 1m wide (depending on pruning for shape).

Pods are ideal when 2 to 4 inches long; they get very tough and stringy if allowed to stay on the plant. Always remove any that are too big to eat because they keep the plant from producing.

Approx 20 seeds in a packet.
